As of April 29, 2013, Hasselblad ends an era, that os the famous "V-System" as they called
it, to differentiate from the new autofocus model H. So the great 503CW will no longer be
built, but stock will be sold until completion. Service will also continue to be available through
their service channels. This also applies to all Hasselblad V-Series lenses!

That is very sad.

Yes indeed. I expect a flood of sold Hasselblad equipment on the used market
soon, followed by a significant price drop. I just saw that it has already started...

Really? I thought that it would have a totally opposite effect due to rarity?

It was mainly used by PRO's and usually they de-invest after end-of-life notice.
Just my personal experience...

Older Hasselblad stuff is already pretty cheap, especially the silver lenses and earlier bodies.

Medium format is where some really big bargains can be found. I just paid 30ukp for a mint Mamiya K/L 140mm macro, which is a superb lens, one of the very best for medium format according to several tests. I also just acquired a mint Mamiya 4.5/180, not a K/L, the prior version, cost me 13ukp. Lenses of this quality and condition for these prices is really cheap, hard not to be attracted to them.
