Has anyone tried this yet? I got this 10 roll brick from amazon for 2.99 per roll. Given the reviews on amazon, how could I not?

They seem to be in a similar business as freestyle -- private labeling other makers' film, and at good prices...

The 135 and 120 may be different films in each speed etc. The net is full of conjecture: Ilford, Foma, Lucky seem to be the most popular opinions...
Anyway, soon enough I'll shoot some, and will report what the roll reminds me of... _________________ -Jussi

Interesting! I'm looking forward to your results.
The box does not look "filmish", it's rather similar to a peppermints box or a female cigarettes box _________________ Orio, Administrator

I too await your report and your photos. The reviews at Amazon sure are positive and the price has got my attention. I wonder how it compares to my favorite ISO 400 B&W film -- Tri-X Professional. _________________ Michael

Ultrafine Extreme 400 120 film backing paper by Nesster, on Flickr
The backing paper is very nice -- good contrast through the ruby window. The whole set-up reminds me of Ilford: the paper, the date code on the carton, and the tone of the film after development.
I will post some once the film is dry and I scan it in.

I've used their 35mm extensively (about 300-400 feet). I'm told it's re-packaged Fomapan. It certainly has the same look and characteristics. Ultrafine responds VERY well to a yellow filter. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/hancockDavidM |
