Hi all!

I normally use a SpyderCube for target values to set proper
white point/black point/mid grey // dynamics // latitude // oompf
of a raw shot in Adobe Camera Raw 7.4 (CS6).

It works just fine -- whenever I have a single light temperature source.
But in mixed light situations, everything goes ape.

How do you handle mixed light situations?

If you can not adjust the light sources, you need to either make an artistic choice, or to fix in postwork.
Making an artistic choice means that you need to evaluate what the light sources contribute, and
where they affect your scene, and choose to privilege the one that is more important for your purpose,
sacrificing the others.
Fixing in postwork is also possible. If you use an advanced raw converter, such as Lightroom 4, you can
set brushes to selectively adjust colour temperature in parts of the image.
Otherwise, you need to make two (or more, as needed) raw conversions, each one optimizing a part of
your image, then make a composite in Photoshop by use of layer masks.
