I reckon you don't like a lens with glow?

Though I wouldn't go to this extreme to get glow.
I'll still keep my lenses clean. |

Though reading nikonian lens folks I think they term it 'pleasing differentiation of light tones' --
But that's flare; the scratches and vaseline are flare and soft focus; I suppose for real glow you need wide open spherical aberration? _________________ -Jussi

Traditionally, many Wollensak lenses "glowed", which I think was probably coma, as mentioned.
Not "Nikon mount", but many are very cheap and mountable on bellows, etc. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

I had an enlarger lens that had a beautiful glow but sold it. I bought a replacement recently and it's shipping to me today. It is the 90mm Elgeet Colorstigmat. Sharp and glowy. I'll post some images when I get the new one... |
