My Nikkor S.C 55/1.2 does that, sharp wide open with a glow.

Look a well scratched one , so many small scratches on surface it will glow..

Another hint sand a cheap filter , I think it will produce same effect.

A cheap filter, plus a thin layer of vaseline around the edges

they also sell filters with netting built in which gives a glow

I reckon you don't like a lens with glow? Very Happy

Though I wouldn't go to this extreme to get glow.
I'll still keep my lenses clean.

which lenses that are available or adaptable in Nikon mount would produce a straong glow?

Basically all fast manual Nikkors "glow".

Indeed, may only uncoated lens glow

Twisted Evil Though reading nikonian lens folks I think they term it 'pleasing differentiation of light tones' --

But that's flare; the scratches and vaseline are flare and soft focus; I suppose for real glow you need wide open spherical aberration?

I think coma does it. 28/2, 35/1.4, 50/1.2 to name some. the 85/1.4 and the 105/1.8, i've not noticed it though.

Traditionally, many Wollensak lenses "glowed", which I think was probably coma, as mentioned.
Not "Nikon mount", but many are very cheap and mountable on bellows, etc.

I had an enlarger lens that had a beautiful glow but sold it. I bought a replacement recently and it's shipping to me today. It is the 90mm Elgeet Colorstigmat. Sharp and glowy. I'll post some images when I get the new one...
