Went shooting today with the '55 J8 and NEX-C3 plus two SLRs, a few missteps:

her mom is in pretty good focus:

some large dogs came by and I hurriedly tried to focus and catch them

and the one of the daughter, botched focus, but I have two color rolls and a bw roll, hopefully something there.

click on pix for larger file

The lens shows a promise of greatness (in someone else's hands Wink )

The mom is a GF of a friend of mine and daughter is getting into photography (Nikon shooter).

Focus on mother is perfect, was the photo of daughter a snapshot? Because if it was posed, then I should conclude that you had a bottle of whiskey between the first and the second Wink

Well, if my film rolls don't turn out, I'll have that bottle of whiskey. Laughing

Graham, good idea! Still have more scanning on the BW roll and have to take the color rolls
to CVS. Smile

Klaus, agree, very happy with this lens and thanks much for finding it!

Nikos, thanks, not entirely unhappy on how that turned out. Smile

One more to add from the '55 J8/Sony NEX-C3 combo:

fledgling Nikon shooter

(from a fledgling Sony NEX shooter Laughing )
