Christine bought a new hat so it was a good occasion to chase her to try a few lenses. She got a new series and I could play with latest lenses. I got this Jupiter-9 from member Tervueren as donation I did use J-9 SLR lens long time ago, I sold mines always when I got one, due common item. Today I was a bit shocked either I did develop as photographer or I have better model Smile , but I think result is shockingly good. Laughing I did use f5.6 I did learn to avoid wide open much as possible when I shoot portraits. At the end of series you can see some of my favorite play . modify shoots and two wide open images just for demonstrate lens is sharp enough wide open.
When I did compare RAW files I saw no difference vs Carl Zeiss Sonnar 100mm f3.5 Contax I used both lens today + Auto Takumar 105mm silver.

i have never seen so many real perls Shocked
you´re getting a more and more professional team - congrats
the images 8 ++ are the best ones, because here you do not have the shadow of the new hat over the eyes
next time you buy your wife a flash or reflector in a nice hat box - you can blame me for that proposal

I did make first time this hybrid , a b&w and color one overlapped in Photoshop.

It was great fun , thank you for all your kind comments.

Congrats Attila.

First, the lens. J=9, a great lens to me. For portraits and for general use too. If have one, it should be my all around lens.

Photos. Very good ones. Overall the close focus pictures.

Shadows ? Add mistery to the eyes, to the woman. I like it.

Who is behind the shadows? I know, Attila's wife.......but, seriously, the atmosphere of mistery is there.

Thank you guys! J9 was always one of my favorite lens, thanks fully it was mass produced lens so still inexpensive option to have a nice portrait lens.
