I have no experience with the S1.6 but the second link Attila provided from the S2 is mine. From what I've read, the optical quality is no greater or no less than the S2, only very slightly brighter. It would be like being able to shoot at 1/60th instead of 1/45th, I believe. Someone, I think over on photo.net said, the S1.6 is slightly softer @1.6 than the S2 is @1.8, which sounds right to me. Fairly standard. The hexanon standards are phenomenal. |
