Several member have it and did show pictures, it has excellent IQ.

The camera is actually not known as the S2. It's the Konica S1.6 and is considerably less common (but not rare). I think it's identical to S2 in everything but the max aperture.

I have no experience with the S1.6 but the second link Attila provided from the S2 is mine. From what I've read, the optical quality is no greater or no less than the S2, only very slightly brighter. It would be like being able to shoot at 1/60th instead of 1/45th, I believe. Someone, I think over on photo.net said, the S1.6 is slightly softer @1.6 than the S2 is @1.8, which sounds right to me. Fairly standard. The hexanon standards are phenomenal.

Not very differences between the "regular" S2 and the 1,6. It seems to me.

wow, looking at some of those sample shots is inspiring... i might have to dust my S2 off and run some film through it.
