These were taken early evening so it wasn't so busy. Actually Kabuki-cho and Japan's redlight districts in general are not that interesting especially compared to places like Amsterdam. Everything in Japan happens behind closed doors and often foreigners aren't welcome. |

Thanks.
I actually know why Kabuki-cho is so called. A Kabuki theater was planned for the area but was never built. However the name stuck and an entertainment district grew up in the area anyway.
I think that's how the name came about. |
