This time I used these two lenses

Thanks, 80-200/4.5 is another great (and cheap) lens that you should consider having in your bag, just look for the version with rectangular cutout at the rear Wink

How is the F/4 version of 80-200mm compared to F/4.5 version?

IQ is supposed to be equal to the 4.5 version but has 62mm filter thread and prices are higher

The 4.5 Version with the (VERY) slippery focussing/zooming ring is quite sharp, needs some contrast enhancement.
The 4.0 Version is a really good performer and better built, but top of the line ie the Nikkor 80-200mm 2.8 AIS ED which was the first 2.8 telezoom ever produced. It's an outstanding performer and built like a tank, never seen this kind of perfection in a lens again.

optically, no I found no other 2.8 telephoto
that achieved these results (and I have testet the newest Nikkor 2.8 telezooms as well - the
legend just beats all successors. Very Happy
