This is mostly about urban landscape, since it's taken with the 5DII. I took several film street candids with the Ikon camera,
but they'll be published in a later time, since I haven't found the time to develop the rolls yet.

I have added some 100% crops that show the amazing micro-contrast of the 1.4/35 Rollei Distagon, and it's excellent resolvance as well.
For example, see in crop of #4 the visibility of the subtle shadings of the marble (micro-contrast) and the thick thread of bricks (resolvance).
In evaluating, consider how small the portion of the whole image that the enlargement covers.

Thanks for viewing!

What can I say?
Once again, wonderful shots, Orio.

I love those Italian cities!
And your sense of composition makes me want to go there immediately!

Beautiful series, perfect compositions and exposure.

It may sound stupid (if it does, please ignore what comes next), but one thing that always amazes me about your pics is how natural and not disturbing do the cars parked along the way look: when I take photos of cities, I almost always have to trash the ones with parked cars.
I just can't get how to handle them: hope I will learn, some day, with practice.

Well, the lens also did its job quite nicely.

Thanks Aanything, I don't know, maybe that's because I consider them too in the composition, instead of trying to avoid them.
Sometimes one can waste a good photograph because in the effort of hiding as much as possible a ugly object
he photographs from an unhappy angle, with the result that the composition is unbalanced and the bit of the object
that wasnt possible to avoid becomes even more noticed Laughing
In any case, I would have gladly done without the cars in #14 Laughing Wink

Thanks, I'll try to keep that in mind.

I guess so, especially the one right in front of the church's door Smile

As good as the cloud/river shots are, I prefer these ones that give the true "flavour of the city. I can't think of anything bad to criticise - they are all wonderful. The lens is a great performer too.

Laughing

There is a lot of nice corners in Pisa, especially if you like old houses and churches.
Street cleaning could be better though Rolling Eyes

Reminds me when I strolled through the streets of Pisa a few years ago. Wonderful houses and nice places indeed!
Great series Orio!
