Lens is Orio's property. No color, contrast altered just a bit sharpened to show more less same what I see on RAW files.

I recommend to those people who are think a Russian lens can't be good due it's low price.

Wonderful series. Hard to pick a favourite, but I think #9.

Choice of autumn backdrop is great, the colours of Chris' outfit are chosen well to fit with the autumnal colours. The positioning of patch of light on face is excellent.

Lens looks very good indeed, Summicronski Smile

In some of them the highlights are blown out. This is why I don't like digital.

Fantastic results!!
I personally would like it more subdued, and since it's my lens after all Smile I take the liberty of posting how I'd prefer it:

#5

But the problem is, you need to use ugly subjects to test the lenses, because with such model, even a bottle's bottom would seem like a great lens Laughing

Cropped series with another lens, based on your suggestion Orio.

Cool Smile I actually desaturated the image too (slightly changed yellow/red balance as well).
With less saturation, Krisztina's skin looks more natural I think.

Indeed, it was hard to decide should I take off yellowing or not. I think better without that now.

Nice autumn color. Autumn will be here in southeast Texas soon and I am looking forward to the cooler weather.

Awesome photos, wow I love them and need to try this lens! But how (!) to attach it to the NEX without paying the amount of money for an adapter that is 4 to 5 times the cost of the lens?

PostPosted: Sat Dec 29, 2012 1:09 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

I paid amount to my repair man and I can use a whole new world of stunning KIEV/CONTAX lenses on NEX.
Cheap ones Jupiter-8,Jupiter-11, Carl Zeiss Jena Triotar 85mm f2, 13,5cm F4, Helios 103
Medium priced Jupiter-3,Jupiter-9, Carl Zeiss Sonnar 135mm f4,Sonnar 5cm f1.5 ,Sonnar 5cm f2.0
High priced Sonnar 8,5 cm , Biogon 35mm (only western made) , Nikon 2,8cm RF,

All Kiev/Contax mount lenses go for less than L39 screw mount, worth to invest once to an expensive adapter.
Cheaply made one also available on Ebay, Ian bought one and did start to woble after 1-2 months.
If you count some medium or higher priced lenses adapter cost will be not much really and you will save a lot against L39 lenses.

Thank you for your kind message, Attila, and showing me the logic for opening the doors to other classic MF lenses by investing in quality adapters.
