From an evening walk last sunny Sunday in Deidesheim/Germany, quite famous for its wine and that former Chanceler Kohl had there introduced "Saumagen" to Margaret Thatcher, Mikhail Gorbachev, Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saumagen

Here now some shots taken with a infinity+macro converted CZJ Lamegon 5.6/38mm on my Lumix, a lens once made for hihgest quality reproductions.

Nice series, my favourite is #1 - I like the image quality, very clean and detailed but organic at the same time.

Lack of sharpness, lots of CAs, heavy vignetting, washed colours, low contrast and distortion all over the place!

Just send the lens to me, I will take care of that poor performer.

Beautiful set!
Lamegon? Must confess that this is the first time I have heard
of that lens. Which decade is it from?
And please: how did you "infinity+macro convert" it?

Well guys, it is a rare find I have to admit that. I have mounted into a focusing helicoid and had a clamp on filter holden made for it, that was all, just short enough to make infinity work and long enough to allow for macro shooting.

Zeiss knew exactly what they were doing there I guess and I was surprised to see that they actually used a modified (simplified) design of a famous lens - the Biogon of Dr Bertele! So no wonder it performs so well...

I had posted about that one before here: http://forum.mflenses.com/using-a-38mm-biogon-lamegon-design-lens-t43774.html

Filter holder taken off:

Just noticed that I made a booboo, it is a 38mm lens!
