The second-to-last pairing, right photo is the best, IMHO. Best pose, best model-camera interaction. In the third pairing, right photo, that's another very good shot.
The first pairing is, for me, jarring. The left pose in the first pairing makes her look like she's about to puke -- on me. And shots where the predominant facial feature is the inside of the model's nostrils are particularly distasteful, I think. The second pose in that first pairing makes her look like she did just puke on me, and doesn't feel bad about it. The left pose in the first pairing also makes her look like she's in pain.
Otherwise, pretty good. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/hancockDavidM |

Beautiful model, quite nice series. I love the lighting. My favourite photo is the very last one, because you
shot from her navel's level; this creates the most harmonious proportions of body parts.
The other photos are taken from a higher point of view, and this, combined with the near shooting distance,
produces an effect of top-to-bottom perspective that is unflattering (in my personal opinion) for the model. _________________ Orio, Administrator

very well done. well, I wouldn't really know because I have 0 experience in this kind of photography, focusing is great, that I can tell.
I really like the effect of the backlight and she certainly is wearing sexy outfit on an attractive body and knows to move.
Thank you Orio for your observation of the pov on the last, I wouldn't have noticed but I clearly can see your point.
I like her loose pose with a faint smile one to the right on the second pair, I very much like the lines and tones of that gorgeous black gown. On some I find her mouth a bit tense, but maybe this is just a personal thing.
one question: some photos look quite grainy. Is that on purpose? _________________ my photos on flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kuuan/collections

My guess is post-process added grain, right?.
Excellent shots, not sure why everyone seem to have such a strong opinion and critical eye for them.
Yes, she unfortunately she does look like she might throw up on you in one frame, but for us photographers we know that if we had only one frame where the model looked sick, we should call ourself extremely lucky. I dare any of us to go out, get such a great looking model in such a skimpy outfit and do such a great job. I would kill to get such a chance, and you make sure you get to do it what seems to be on a regular basis. I salute you sir, Keep up the good work. #4, 6 and 8 are my favorites. _________________

oops, sorry I edited while you quoted.
thank you, I guess added grain, specially on the B&W.
and I agree, I'd be SOO happy to have a chance to try myself with such a great model, and more so if I did that well _________________ my photos on flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kuuan/collections |

I have never shot a model in my life (apart from one unsuccessful camera club shoot, many years ago) so my opinion is only valid as an amateur viewer's opinion.
She is a very pretty lady and the shooting/processing is top notch, but in the first four shots her arms look to be in an uncomfortable position, which I find disconcerting. The final 6 shots work for me, especially the last one. |

Orio I had to shoot all from a higher point of view to include more body just because if I was at the same pov of the last picture (they were shot at different places) I couldn't do that. In fashion is not too weird to get some distortions or even exquisite poses or expressions so I don't mind about her arms or face if I look the picture and it makes me feel something. |

I am not a purist, if you are pleased with the result then it's all that matters.
I personally like a high point of view for head shots only. For body shots, I prefer to either lower the camera to navel's level, or
to move away from the subject and use a longer focal lenght, which attenuates the perspective effect. _________________ Orio, Administrator
