First wanted to call this series "Ferry Boat faces", but then I thought it would be nicer to feature all kind of boats Very Happy

Four people in a boat (to say nothing of the dog) Laughing :
#1 - C Sonnar 1.5/50 ZM

Ferry traffic in front of San Marco:
#2 - C Sonnar 1.5/50 ZM

#3 - C Sonnar 1.5/50 ZM

A female hawser operator:
#4 - C Sonnar 1.5/50 ZM

Consulting the city map:
#5 - C Sonnar 1.5/50 ZM

#6 - C Sonnar 1.5/50 ZM

Portrait on a Ferry Boat. Note that the helmsman seemed to appreciate my snapshot Very Happy
#7 - C Sonnar 1.5/50 ZM

No face in this shot but I liked the reflections:
#8 - C Sonnar 1.5/50 ZM

Watching Venice from the sea:
#9 - C Sonnar 1.5/50 ZM

#10 - C Sonnar 1.5/50 ZM

Public and Private (sorry, a bit blurred):
#11 - C Sonnar 1.5/50 ZM

Gondola for single Smile (sorry, a bit blurred):
#12 - C Sonnar 1.5/50 ZM

She: "Dear, look, that's our hotel there!"
He (thinking) "Where the heck is the menu option for disabling face recognition?" Very Happy
#13 - C Sonnar 1.5/50 ZM

"How boring... will this last long?" Laughing
#14 - C Sonnar 1.5/50 ZM

I liked to take a souvenir of this young lady who reminded me of the French-British actress Jessica Forde:
#15 - Biogon 2/35 ZM

This young girl with her oval face so totally Raphael sat in front of me.
Her elegant pose looked like a Renaissance painting, I had to take this snapshot although she obviously noticed me taking it Smile
#16 - Biogon 2/35 ZM

An original Raphael for reference:

The Canal Grande near the railway station. At original size this photo looks really grand (impressive).
I hope that resized it maintains a little the original impression:
#17 - Biogon 2/35 ZM

"Yo-hoo there on the bridge!!" Smile
#18 - Biogon 2/35 ZM

Clarity and colors are stunning in these! Nice choice of lenses, ZM Biogon and Sonnar. Smile

Looks like you had a very enjoyable time.

If I had to pick a fave, it would be the first one, wow!

Thanks Bill, that was a true snapshot, totally unexpected, I glimpsed the puppy dog on the prow and quickly grabbed the camera
as I felt it could be a good one.
Only later I realized it was a whole family, which makes it even more poignant I think.
If I have to choose a favourite in my series I think I would choose #14, I just can't resist laughing every time I look at the face of the guy Laughing
That is also one image that I could not arrange better if I could stage it Smile

Very nice pictures, especially the last one - real postcard Smile
The blue/green gamma looks like film colors.

I always start thinking in Italian again when you post one of your ineffably Italian series like this one.

Thanks guys!
It is very easy to take great snapshots in Venezia, the subjects are so abundant and varied!
In fact I would love to make a big series of gondola faces only, but it's too far away from here
for this to be a viable project.

Venezia is always a pleasure to watch, your pictures are vivid and realistic.
My fav, the last one, but #17 is a nice live view.
Thanks for sharing!.
