This is a very small island near Devon in the UK.
It was a ~2 hour boat trip by fishing trawler to get there, and it was foggy and cloudy pretty much the whole time I didn't take a crop factor camera (or so I thought) as I didn't think I would be shooting wildlife, but luckily I remembered about "Car cam", which is the Canon EOS 20D I keep in my glove box

Some excellent photos there Graham. I was on a shortlist for the position of island maintenance guy about 10yrs ago, I missed out because my experience with electrical work was limited. Looks like a really nice place, pity I missed it. _________________ Gary

Thanks Graham, I've sat and looked at Lundy for many hours from the mainland and always wondered what was there. It was usually rainy or foggy, so nothing new there. Those Vario-Sonnars look great! _________________ Peter - Moderator |

Thankyou everyone, I wasn't expecting many comments to be honest because of the poor light, but it's a fabulous place to visit

Indeed, I spent quite a bit of time on the previous day listening to forecasts, hoping it would be sunny! But the skipper only wanted to go over once that week, so we were stuck with the day we chose

Yes, the church is lovely actually, really quite big! I'll add a photo of the inside in a mo.

Such a shame, but...there really isn't much there so it may have been a blessing in disguise! Plenty of maintenance needed at all times, but not much else to do other than visit the only pub on the island, where mobile phones and ipads are banned

Thanks Martin, that's an interesting comment about the last shot as I chose it for that very reason I liked the fact that he was looking in the wrong direction, a bit like those '90s band shots where the guitarist would be looking the wrong way _________________ Graham - Moderator
