This is my lens for the month. I actually have enough this month to buy a second lens, also. Very Happy
Anyone recognize the maker on this one?

Click here to see on Ebay

I saw that one.
Certainly looks like the one Univer posted.
Triplet I think, like the Kyoei.

The lion is shot at f3.5, cropped, resized and minor PP.

Great find Walter, these look like excellent results to my eyes. I had an Optomax 135mm that I am pretty sure was a Kyoei Acall and I found ti to be a very good lens, rendered like a Sonnar type with beautiful smooth bokeh, it's one weakness was contrast but that could be fixed easily in PP. I would have kept it if I didn't already have several excellent 135mms including a Sonnar.

I'll keep my eyes open for one of these 100mms, would fit nicely into my lens collection.

Keep turning up these bargain basement gems, I love seeing them. Very Happy

Thanks, Ian. It's fun finding these bargains and testing them. Contrast on this lens isn't to bad, but it does need a bump in PP.The images are resharpened after resizing ofcourse.
For me this lens is a keeper. Very Happy

It would be a keeper for me too.

Very few lenses, in my experience, don't need some PP. Smile

Looks very good. Agree with Ian - almost everything needs some form of PP in the digital realm. In film it was "developing and printing" Very Happy Very Happy

Thanks, Patrickh. Very Happy Very true. I try to keep the PP to a minimum for lens testing, but I think a minor contrast adjust and sharpening is okay.
