This is my lens for the month. I actually have enough this month to buy a second lens, also.
Anyone recognize the maker on this one?

Great find Walter, these look like excellent results to my eyes. I had an Optomax 135mm that I am pretty sure was a Kyoei Acall and I found ti to be a very good lens, rendered like a Sonnar type with beautiful smooth bokeh, it's one weakness was contrast but that could be fixed easily in PP. I would have kept it if I didn't already have several excellent 135mms including a Sonnar.
I'll keep my eyes open for one of these 100mms, would fit nicely into my lens collection.
Keep turning up these bargain basement gems, I love seeing them. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Thanks, Ian. It's fun finding these bargains and testing them. Contrast on this lens isn't to bad, but it does need a bump in PP.The images are resharpened after resizing ofcourse.
For me this lens is a keeper. _________________

Thanks, Patrickh. Very true. I try to keep the PP to a minimum for lens testing, but I think a minor contrast adjust and sharpening is okay. _________________
