There an excellent page about the Sporti here, with some very nice 1960's colour pics taken with one:
http://www.photomemorabilia.co.uk/Ilford/Sporti.html
There's even audio files of radio adverts for it!
Another good page about the Sporti here:
http://www.thecamerasite.net/07_Viewfinder_Cameras/Pages/ilford-sporti.htm
BTW, the Sporti is a rebadged Dacora Digna. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Jussi, I like the mount accessory for the D90 in the one link.
Yes, I've passed on getting the Clack as I don't think it's a quantum leap in svelteness to
my Agfa Synchro-Box 6x9.
Agree, the Sporti is a whole different deal... |

Nice looking camera and images. I've not seen that one amongst the Ilfords that crop up, but I haven't really looked that hard. _________________ Casual attendance these days |

I had not thought about a Sporti yet. Wanted to give Agfa Isoly II and Isola III a go. And I have been given a Venaret, that I didn't try sofar. Not such an elegant appearance, but funny enough. |

Damn it !
The Ilford Sportsman was my first ever camera, it got stolen on a trip to Switzerland when I was about 14. So when I'm at the camera fair or charity shops I keep an eye out for one.
On Sunday at the camera fair I saw a nice leather case with Ilford on the front and opened it, it was a superb condition Sporti like the one above, so I put it back. I think it was only £10. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

Both arrived today, will take them to the shop tomorrow for cleaning. Shutters work
in both.

I have a shop downtown, located in a music store where I repair band instruments. Reminds me I have to
take the Flek from the Werra and round out the ring. |

Most alike from Agfa is the Isola (I & II), also with a retractable lens.

The lens is on a tube, like an old Elmar or Industar! |
