Don't know if you Andy ever saw one. I monitor this lens a lot and so far I only saw AE copies.
Besides, this lens was produced in West Germany only, as far as I know. My two copies, both AE, are also both West Germany.

Last January I wanted to buy this lens for my B-day
It was an auction that started with a BIN price of $1250
I thought that was very high but then the auction finished at over $1300
Anyway I think that If I take one it will be the new one (ZF)
The price is more reasonable and it comes with a hood and warranty
Zeiss will not perform service or calibration on AE lenses anymore
I think this is ok for a lens that cost under $500 but not for one that is near $1K
I want to know I can have repairs and calibration done
Look at the experience Poilu had with his 1.4/35
Zeiss has very high QC but eventually these floating element lenses need calibration
It seems that some of the other optical designs are more robust and less likely to suffer from use and small shocks
I would not worry about those as much (planar, sonnar, 2.8/distagon)
With Zuiko there is a shop in New Jersey that performs Lab quality repairs and calibration
I don't think there is an option like this for Contax other than Zeiss themselves
A bit of a tangent from the topic but an important one
