Christine's older sister...

Alluding to the movie Christine, from a Stephen King novel. Christine was a 1958 Plymouth Fury, and
this is Maxine, a little longer, snootier, 1957 Chrysler New Yorker. The owner pictured in the first says the
color is 'Fuschia'. OK. This is testing a Vivitar (Komine) 28/2.8 MC lens, not the close-focusing one. Film is
courtesy of Moira, a roll of KG200. Thank you Moira!

Taken today at a car show, CVS scans

and another from the roll, Wallace's Toy

lens is M42 via C/Y adapter, not bad, but think I'll keep looking for a better 28

Orio and Excal, thanks! As much as I like the above set, the little Konica C35
pretty much took the prize today:

CVS scans, another roll from Moira, thanks! My local CVS has changed hands with all
new people. Doesn't matter who you leave the film to, the results are the same. Very
little spot removal on these, clean scans.

I can see why you like the C35 .... the blue Austin Healey (I think) is extra nice as it has more pop on my monitor.

Folks, thanks for stopping by!

Moira, thanks again for sending the film, much appreciated!

Rather stingy about using the KG 100, but did run a roll through the Yashica Lynx 14.

a few from the roll:

Need to take the Lynx to the shop where I have some strong/focused light sources and
check for Isaac Haze on the lens. My buddy Wayne is the president of his club this year
and I took several photos of his '31 Caddy, but have shown pictures of his car from the
year before.

Very pleased with the metering in the Konica C35 as lighting was definitely not ideal in some
situations.

The vintage cars and the look of the film are a great match, usually pictures taken with a modern digital cam, of such subjects, just look different, as somehow old and new technology don t like each other Smile

Skida and Tomas, thanks!

Tomas, do you think 'vintage' guys look out of place holding modern cameras? Wink Laughing

Anyhoo, I hope film is around many more years! Smile
