Ken is not my Guru for sure. This lens seems to be an "ordinary" CCTV lens sold at an extraordinary price and Ken is just making fun of this. He obviously has a sense of humour. _________________ Holger

I don't get it, 700 quid for a CCTV lens they added a camera mount to?
Surely it's value is no more than the cost of a CCTV lens and a C mount to NEX adapter?
That would cost, ooh, I dunno, 70 quid max.

Thanks for the photo.
Your shots look very nice. The lens looks sharp enough to me wide open, as seen in the shot with the hand holding the cigarette - the detail on the index finger seems well captured (could you also post a 100% crop of the in-focus area of the finger?). Bokeh is very nice in the other shots, but I have a feeling you have a lot of experience in producing such images
laenee's shot is also beautiful. Very sharp and great background.
After reading through KR's article, I looked up a bit more information on these lenses. Looks like he's wrong about these being just CCTV lenses modified for MFT/E mount - but then again, being wrong is not unusual for him. Photozone has actually reviewed a 12/1.6 lens:
http://www.photozone.de/olympus--four-thirds-lens-tests/685-slrmagic_12_16
The only aspect I find confusing is that the Noktor site doesn't mention this 12/1.6, only the 50/0.95.
http://noktor.com/products.php
Some more info on SLR Magic:
http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/tag/slr-magic/
He seems to prefer the 12mm to the 50mm, although from the shots I see here, I can't figure out why.
BTW, is "hyperprime" supposed to mean something besides sounding cool? _________________ http://www.ipernity.com/home/2419272

Some lenses able to produce sharp images at F0.95 my Angenieux 50mm f0.95 sharp at wide open, I sold Angenieux 25mm f0.95
it was sharp enough at wide open too, like a Helios-44 wide open. _________________ -------------------------------
