Great series, this lens looks as good as a Biometar 80, which surprises me. I particularly like the last one, the lighting is dramatic.

Wow! Nice set. I like the 2nd shot of the hands, and the last two landscapes. Great colors and detail. How did you mount this lens, Atilla? I haven't found a single P6-Nex adapter Confused

Look at the view finder! Laughing

Can we use that as an ultimate-travel-set-of-lenses as well?
Phone lenses?

I do use genuine P6 M42 adapter olympus 4/3 adapter (I did come from 4/3 world) plus 4/3 NEX-adapter 3 adapters stacked Smile

I saw P6 NEX adapter on Ebay, you must find one.

I never use a such view finder.
Can an universal turret finder change the view to the correct focal length?
like a pan focus lens?

What i see as glasses are automatically connect as camera lenses - my bad habit - but not all glasses are adaptable Laughing

P6 lenses on nex: [lens] + [p6-pk adapter] + [pk-nex adapter] + [nex body]

but I have other lenses that can pair with the nex and haven't use p6 lenses.

This finder have view for 28mm, 35mm , 85mm , 135mm you can see in frame for those focal length, depend what you select from viewer. Useful for range finders where is built finder shows only default 50mm frame.

great pics, and interesting too because it is a lens quite readily available at a good price-- have also seen cheaper tilt and tilt-shift set-ups based on this... nice to see it can give such good results

Basically true for all Russian lenses very good price , performance ratio, due little respect by people.

I agree wholeheartedly. I have had very good experiences with the Soviet/Russian lenses I have tried. Some are obviously better than others but overall they seem quite good performers and well made. I know there are meant to be QC issues but I myself have got good copies I guess and they just seem so well designed and solidly built-- comparing that especially to modern cheap plastic lenses which perform well until you try to twist a sticking filter off and break the whole assembly (as happened with my Olympus mu43 kit lens a few months back).

I am sure some people must have had bad experiences with old Russian lenses as people have had with many other lenses (keep running across posts in various places by people who got CZJ lemons for example), but I think it has more to do with prejudices. I guess North Americans and Western Europeans spent so long thinking of the Soviet Union as "backwards" that they want to apply the judgement across the board. Even in Italy, which was so "red" back in the day, they seem to think of Soviet camera gear as "cheapo" and the German stuff as automatically better.

The thing is, comparing a decent Soviet lens to a German one, say a Jupiter to a Zeiss, is NOT the same thing as comparing a Lada to a Mercedes.

Even though I grew up in the US, with the "evil commies" attitudes all around me, I learned respect for Soviet technology early on from my dad, who specialised for many years in Soviet electronics.

Anyway, I hope people continue to de-value Russian lenses at least long enough for me to build up my collection at decent prices Wink

Well spoken, I try to fight for Russian gears, inform people they are not cheap lenses like some Japanese mass products. Hopefully people slowly will wake up and respect them more well.

looks like a really special lens, could maybe give really great results, though at 1.5kg, that is even heavier than the 1kg Jupiter 21m

wow!

for sure interested to see what results you get; please share
