I am soon listing some photographic equipment on eBay, but thought that of all the stuff this lens (the rest I'm selling is AF stuff) might trigger interest from members of this forum. So, you are free to send me a pm with offers, I am sure Klaus, Orio and Attila can attest that I am a person you can deal with trust - I have also sold lenses to other forum members but haven't kept records to remember whom (sorry)

I am interested in a trade as well: I'll trade it for euros or a Bugaboo Cameleon in good condition. Yes, game over:

Zeiss quality control and four years of use have proved the lens for sale is an excellent copy. These are photos I have taken myself, with the lens here for sale:

I am the 1st owner of this lens, it was bought in June 2008. With the sale follows everything that came with it new:

- the lens, Carl Zeiss Planar T* 1,4/85 ZF
- original box and papers
- Zeiss quality control documents, hand signed by optical engineer who inspected it before it left the factory
- original rear lens cover
- original front lens cover
- original metal lens hood

Glass is in perfect condition, there are no scratches or cleaning marks. The lens' barrel shows small signs of use, but none that would indicate abuse. I have never dropped the lens, and while it has traveled and seen use I have taken very good care of it, storing it in an air-conditioned dry cabinet. There is no fungus or mold inside the lens elements, and it has very few if any dust specks inside (a testimonial to the excellent construction of the barrel). The aperture ring clicks nicely into place as new, and diaphragm opens and closes precisely. There is no oil on blades.

Photos of the lens, yes I took these myself and yes they are of the item for sale.

*** PHOTOS REMOVED FROM MY DROPBOX AFTER AUCTION ***

Klaus, Orio; thank you gentlemen for your kind words.

Yes, baby incoming. While I have spent considerable time figuring out how to photograph baby portraits that don't look like the over-romantic crap abundantly made available by photographers and fauxtographers, the baby's Mother has spent time looking for what apparently is the "Zeiss of baby carriages", which seems to be the Bugaboo Cameleon (I trust her evaluation).

Ian - any chance for a post-career staff discount? A well equipped Cameleon sells for 1200 EUR over here Laughing Laughing Laughing

The Planar T* 1,4/85 ZF has already passed my psychological reserve price so I believe both buyer and seller will be satisfied. Still almost 4 days to auction end though.
