Great lens and looks like a good marriage. Turner - my favourite artist, way way ahead of his time.

No, it can't possibly be.

No, sorry, this is really the m4/3 Oly Pen E-P2. Smile

I was curious of the Exifs and had a look at them, and I remembered I shot them at 1600 iso...
1st picture : iso 1600 1/10s
2nd picture : iso 1600 1/40s
3rd picture : iso 1600 1/30s

Not bad for high isos
and Image Stabilization is working well.

If olly at 40 paces, may I choose Tamron SP 500 f8... Wink

These chess pieces come from Creta.
I bought them 25 years ago during vacation in Greece.
I like Poilu's country very much, especially the greek islands like Hydra or Spetsees.

I do play chess a bit but far less than before, also chinese chess.
I have seen there are a set of Greece gods made by metal - very nice pieces.
The chess board between MF lenses and AF lenses registered in another thread this forums a while ago was awesome too Laughing

I have only a very few DDR lenses, a kind of hard to find locally - actually any MF is hard to find here.
This lens does seem to close focus very nice, and iso 1600 is not bad at all.

And the Tamron 500/8 has 1.5m as MFD - safer at long distances, but Tony won't survive Laughing

thanks Olivier, I was in Santorini for 4 days and they was a lot of French tourist there, but the island was quite empty despite easter
with the economic crisis people make holidays at home, I read that French tourism in France raise by 30%
majority of tourist was Chinese, as they are 1.3 billion I think there is still some future for us Very Happy

Yes !!! Laughing ... If I shoot first, else Tony will get me.

This Aus Jena Tessar has a minimum focusing distance of 0,35m, and on micro 4/3 50mm = 100mm, so it's interesting for close focusing.

Where do you live ?

That's true : home holidays.

But I feel that's interesting for me to come to Greece.
Less people, maybe some good prices.
Are people outside of Athen in a good mood and welcoming french people ? Very Happy

the smaller the place, the more welcoming the people, and of course to the french tourist too
Greeks are always in good mood and it is not an economic crisis that can get them down
with the crisis, it think it will be easier to find good prices in small islands
the day I traveled to Santorini, there was a 48h strike and no boat was leaving Athens
but in touristic place, strikes are not followed and I could go from Rhodes to Santorini without problem
Athens is a different story, it look more like Pakistan and I avoid going there Wink
