Yes, they are here!

My set is complete now:

Pentax-110 Set by LucisPictor, on Flickr

From left: 2.8/70, 2.8/50, 2.8/24 and 2.8/18

This is what the 2.8/50 looks like on the NEX-7:

And the 2.8/70:

Two quick snaps to get a first glimpse of the character. No post-production.

I LOVE those lenses and their very special character!!

Here is what you can get with the 2.8/70 and some very basic post-production (levels, downsizing and slight re-sharpening):

How do you focus? Or was it the aperture blades that these lenses didn't have?

Looks like very fine lenses on your Nex, congrats with your nice collection Smile

It does have a focus volution. What is missing is the aperture diaphragm.
So, you only can use it wide open. But I do have something in mind... Wink

I am gathering a set of these lenses too, for use on m4/3. So far I have the 18mm only.

I was thinking of adding a fixed aperture to an adapter so I could use either wide open, or fully stopped down.

Good to see they are up to the usual Pentax high quality Cool

super sexy set for the Nex, I am sure you will find a way to add an aperture
no samples of the 18 & 24, are they good on the Nex

great set, congrats Carsten!
your samples of the 2.8/70 look great, made me interested in it for portraits and for that I wouldn't mind if it was f2.8 'only'

Congratz!
Very nice set indeed (I have the same set as you know) Very Happy

I see you're missing the 20-40mm zoom. I don't have it either, but I have the 2x Soligor converter for this set, but have never tried it Wink

I like the 24mm very much because of it's insanely small size (also smaller than all of my c-mounts).

The samples looks good IMO and vignetting isn't that bad either.

Who's your favorite of the four?

PostPosted: Wed Mar 21, 2012 8:38 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Thanks.

I am not interested in the zoom, really, nor am I interested in the teleconverter.
Those four lenses compemented by the Fujian 1.7/35 built a very nice and complete set of "effect" lenses.

My favourite? Don't know yet. Need to use them more.

I like the 2.8/24, but also the 50 and the 70. The 18 is also nice, but vignettes the most.

It is easy to build a fixed aperture with a black cardboard and apply it to either the front glass or to the adapter.

Looks like you are having Fun Carsten!

Finally lenses that don't dwarf the NEX Wink
Most lenses make a NEX look like a Cockroach carrying a Bazooka Surprised

Yes, wider lenses gets worse vignetting but can be a nice effect also

First samples I see of this lens on the NEX Wink

Indeed. And that is what I want to try soon. But I only would need it for shots outdoors when even ISO100 is too much.

I have a set of these, they were crap on my NEX, nowhere near as sharp and contrasty as your samples. I wonder why, maybe poor QC? Although being Pentax I doubt it...

PostPosted: Thu Mar 22, 2012 4:28 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Well, I neither know the reason. I just can say that the copies I have are pretty sharp, as you can see.

PostPosted: Thu Mar 22, 2012 5:20 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Oh yes indeed, they are sharp, I like them, mine were rather less good, you have inspired me to try again with mine though.

PostPosted: Thu Mar 22, 2012 8:50 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

I impressed with the contrast, also when I look at my old samples from these lenses Surprised
