...and I think it does wonderfully for an uncoated (!!!) lens wide open! Wink

can you hear my jaw drop, jaw drop - that's just so physical, dimensional - you've been patient, you've been good, now you have this famous rare lens, you can hear my jaw drop.... - Olivia Nesster-John

Thanks Jussi! Very Happy

I still don't understand how it can be this contrasty wide open. Of course, it's not flare resistant, but I expected a "hazy" result based on my experience with uncoated lenses and dismissed the lens at first. However, because I had the chance to try the lens in advance my opinion changed very quickly.

Being an untra-achromat and uncoated... Could this mean that the lens has perfect color transmission? (I.e. not "warm" or "cool" glass, just colors as they are.

I'm now thinking to have the IR filter of my K10D removed and use it with this lens.

Congrats Peter that you were able to make it yours.
