Anyway - fine seller, can confirm. Darn where he gets the stuff - it seems like that story of the table always filled with food . _________________ ---------------------------------

Perhaps the worlds supply of decent quality second hand lenses are running out and the ones that are any good are going for silly prices and the others are being sold as "perfect", regardless of their true state?
Two weeks ago I 'won' a CZJ 135 / 4 Triotar from Mr Krueger. The auction finished on the Friday, and I paid for Express dispatch (+10 Euros). By the follwoing Tuesday the item was still not showing as dispatched. I sent him a message asking whether it had been sent and he blamed ebay for it not updating properly. When the lens finally arrived, the focus ring was virtually stuck fast. I thought I was going to break it as i attempted to turn it. It was described as optically perfect (1) and body good condition (2/3) out of (5)
How can an unusable condition be described as a 2 or 3 score out of 5?
Being an engineer, I decided to have a go and repair it myself, my first attempt with such a device. See here for how I got on..

I think this is the way it should be. Maybe there is a communication problem as i see most bad ratings in foreign language _________________ Thomas

That's good to hear you had a positive resolution. To be honest, I found difficulty with the language barrier. I used google to translate. But that is not always the best way.
It is a shame though that items are shipped in that state. Especially when described differently.
I try to see my experience as positive. I now have a very good lens, and the enjoyment of repairing it myself! _________________

Well, I think I should eat my words!
I took the steps to contact Herr Kruger before I gave a feedback on eBay.
After explaining that I had to repair the lens myself, he was very understanding and immediately refunded my Pay Pal account with 20 euros for my trouble.
It would appear that Mr Kruger cares about his customers and I may think again about using his eBay shop again in the future. Perhaps I will ask more questions about the workings of the items before I bid though!
His conduct has changed my opinion and restored my trust. _________________
