In hindsight, I should have used the 35/2.8 instead, as the last two shots painfully demonstrate that I chopped the big fireworks out Sad Either way, results are better than last November 5th's effort Smile Next year I will use a wider lens!

Thanks all! I just about managed to squeeze my tripod in through the crowd Laughing

Does anyone else think the last six are a bit wonky though? I might need to rotate them a bit Embarassed

Thanks Niko, Olivier Smile Yes, 4 seconds seemed to work OK, but it depends really on how many are going off at once Shocked So I just did random exposures Laughing

I'd never thought you made random exposures !
I thought it was well mastered ! (and finally it was when you see the results) Very Happy

Ha! When I say random, I mean I tried different exposures Wink Long ones sometimes look a bit messy, with too many fireworks. Short ones are often not interesting enough. The chap next to me was using bulb setting on a remote!
