I have wanted an EOS-1V for years. I decided to pick one up on e-bay. Most are going for $850.00 to around $1000.00. I put one on snipe and my wife and I went out to dinner with a couple of friends. When we got home late in the evening I checked and had won the camera. I was extremely pleased. My wife put the money in our paypal account this morning as soon as the bank opened and I payed for it.

Here is the camera.

A little later I just happened to look at the messages and noticed a new message. I never look at the messages since they are always for my wife. This was sent a hour and a half after I won the auction.

He was expecting more to be fetched from that sell.
Put a negative feedback on mr/mrs macaronsky and open a different thread in Buyer Sources section.

Thanks. I'm not familiar with the buyers resource section. I will have to try and find it.

Thanks Attila. You missed the part where he says he sold it to a family member after I won the auction.

I'm with you here. Liar, liar, pants on fire! Negative feedback all the way. Withdraw the item before the auction ends by all means but after it has ended? I'll lay you a bar of chocolate to a kick up the pants that "family member has a change of heart" within a couple of weeks and the camera gets listed again.

In case of you Ron I do understand seller too and not give any negative if my money come back .

I had some similar issue when buyer did change his mind I always understood them and I did allow cancel transaction.
If I did won on very low price I did ask seller first is it ok to him , is he surely want to give me his property on such a low price?
Once I sold a camera on Ebay and my friend sold it parallel locally, I did hate buyer who didn't understood this situation and he didn't agree on cancelling.

Thanks everyone.

I really wanted this camera and was very disappointed. I did win the camera fair and square.

While they usually go high, I saw a beat up one go for $355 and a pretty decent one go last night for $455. I asked the guy last night about the one that went for $455 and he said it had some scratches, nothing bad. I want a nice one and won one, but now I have my money back. Or at least in my paypal account. I'm definitely not a happy camper, but I'm glad I got the refund. At least he refunded my money promptly.

Sorry for the rant.

Sorry to hear your troubles, Ron. Gawd, they go for close to a Nikon F6, wonder which has more
bells and whistles...

Interesting, as a seller, I've always honored auction results, even if I lost my ass on the deal.

Well with how low his feedback total is that negative really brought his percentage down. Maybe next time he will think twice before pulling a stunt like that. He will have a hard time re-listing the camera for the next 12 months with that feedback on there.

He re-listed it today. I would think he would be smart enough to wait a little longer. E-bay is investigating him right now, what ever that means.
