Volna-3 lens 80mm f2.8 in Kiev 88 mounted mounted on Sony Alpha 700 with a "Kiev-88 to Sony AF" adapter.

All images taken @f2.8.

Best regards

Very nice, reminds me of the Biometar. Is it a copy of that?

Well known good reputation lens, last sample especially stunning!

Yes, very good lens in very expert hands. Smile
I have it in P6 mount. I like its colors very much. The last one is very Volna.
Its min focusing distance is interesting : 0,60m.

Thanks, I dunno if its a copy of the Biometar. I have not seen or read anything conclusive to support that. The front elements are not not cemented together like the Biometar,as I have read . There appears to be a gap between the 2nd and third element, according to someone here that has opened the lens :

Thank you Attila, Olivier and Orio for your kind comments.

I have come to like this lens ,and I find the lens I own t performs very well-renders sharp images even wide open, produces nice colors, bokeh and performs better in a little sunlight -like a lot of lenses. Very Happy

Some more images shot wide open.

Cheers

Well done!.
I also like very much my Volna, it's not a Biotar copy as far as I know.
Mine is in Pentacon-six mount and I use it on the Pentax, with the corresponding adapter.
A lens with great personality and able to focus quite close.

Regards.
Jes.

Very good lens and very nice shots Khatmandu.
The bokeh looks like Jupiter-9 I think.
