Hello.

I can have a Bessamatic in very good shape with a Skopar 50mm for 90€.

I have 3 questions :
Is this camera a good one
Is it a good price
Shall I be able to mount the Skopar on my 5D MkII.

Thanks in advance for your expert answers. Smile

I use and collected Voigtlanser by @ twenty years.

Which model of Voigtlander Bessamatic can you buy?

The best is the Bessamatic CS, (say CS at the front) at the first place by far.

Second, the Bessamatic De Luxe, with selenium meter at the front.

The shutter sound like a gun. Laughing

The Color Skopar 50 mm lens can be "X" version or not. Not differences only in the coated (both single coated lenses).

They were good cams, but should have shutter problems, and not easy to repair. A very good technic isn't easy to find.

Good luck.

Rino

Yes (if the mount is Retina/Bessamatic bayonet)
But adapter is expensive, almost costs as another lens Sad

Thank you both. Smile

Rino, it is a Bessamatic de Luxe.
They are french professionals. They control, clean and repair Bessamatics and modify the mount to be able to mount retina's lenses (Schneider).
They say this modification is simple but demands a lot of care. They clean the eyefinder and it is 99% clear. Speeds and lightmeter are also controled.

Else, there is a CS here. http://www.leboncoin.fr/image_son/241654193.htm
I made an offer for 100€. No answer...

and another Bessamatic here at 150€ : http://www.leboncoin.fr/image_son/249973233.htm?ca=11_s
Which model is it, I don't know. And what are the lenses ? It seems to be a 50mm and a 135mm but not sure at all. I asked seller and await the answer.

Orio, thank you. Is it the DKL to Eos adapter ?
Big IS makes one for less than 30€ : http://cgi.ebay.fr/Voigtlander-Retina-DKL-lens-to-Canon-EOS-Camera-Adapter-/400220522268?pt=UK_Photography_CameraLenses_Lens_caps_hoods_adaptors_ET&hash=item5d2f00871c

Cheers Smile

If you can find a reasonable price on the body and 35mm lens grab it fast Smile

The Skoparex is awesome and quite expensive lately on ebay.
The Schneider lenses for DKL are also nice. I have 2 for sale in marke place (50 and 135)

Big is adapter should be fine. I had 2 and both were working fine.

Here is a link to a brochure http://www.cameramanuals.org/voigtlander_pdf/voigtlander_slr_cameras.pdf

Damn, I paid much more from mine, but it was 1,5 years ago.
Are you sure it's a full model? The adapter that I have, replicates the aperture opening (which is missing from my Septon)
I don't see the numberings of the aperture on Big Is' adapter.

It's right. Because it was common to modify the lens mount not the camera ones, but the modify of the cam seems to be more cheap (only one time). Good for you!!!!!!!!!

This Bessamatic is De Luxe (1 st version). Difference with the las version is that the first have not the "T" finder at the front and with it you can see the aperture and the shutter speeds chosen into the viewfinder, like in the Ultramatic model (the premium of the Voigtlander SRL cams)

Yes, it's a Color Skopar X 2,8/50 and the Super DYnarex 4/135. Both decent lenses.

Good luck.

Rino
