Finally broke down and got an autofocus outfit on the cheap:

test pix using KG200 that expired 10/98

lens goes to 1:3.5 for close-ups

outfit:

Has the optional battery pack so don't have to worry about special batts for the meter.
Still waiting on a hood for the lens to arrive from China. Scans were done on my Epson 4490.

Orio, thanks, I like how the pumpkins pic turned out, since
I did the scan at home. The F80 is called the 'poor man's F100'
but performs well. These were shot using P mode and matrix
metering, still learning the camera.

And Orio, forgot: that is an exceptionally lovely avatar you're wearing. Smile

Well, I have the F70 which was called the poor man's F80 Laughing Laughing and I was very happy with it,
especially the matrix metering did take impeccable slides!

Orio, do you still have the F70? Would love to see some slides
sometime.
