I have some lenses that have been sitting in my 'hospital' box for quite a while. Acquired as part of job lots or attached to cameras where I've taken a chance and lost. The intention was, of course, to fix them up - but I never have and I don't think I will so here they are for sale. Perhaps someone else can make them sing again.

1. £15 SOLD
Jupiter 8 - silver single coated LTM. Nothing much wrong with it apart from stiff focus - needs a lube job.

2. £5 SOLD
Zuiko 50mm f1.8 - aperture is not working properly and it's missing its name ring - what's the word for that? Seems to have been messed about with but glass all seems OK.

3. £7.50 SOLD
Enna Ennalyt 28mm f3.5 M42 - This one had fungus which I cleaned up before using the lens - works great - but I didn't finish the cleaning properly and the edges of one of the inner elements still need a clean - not fungus, I just didn't clean up properly. It's a very easy job but I just haven't got around to it. This lens is a lot better than its plastic body would lead you to believe.

4. £10... Now Free, just postage... And Gone!
Oreston 50mm f1.8 M42 - The auto pin is a bit sticky and there appears to be a bit of rust on the aperture ring. Focus is slightly stiffer than it should be. Apart from that it works fine, just needs a clean really. NB - It has some fungus too!

5. £17.50 SOLD
Zuiko 28mm f3.5 - Seems to be OK. Just used and a little loose.

6. £25 SOLD
Zuiko 50mm f1.4 'silver nose' - OK really, slight play on the focus.

7. £10 Dumped!
Kiron 28-85mm f2.8-3.8 PK - Aperture is stuck and grub screws missing from filter ring assembly. It does have its front and rear caps.

8. £40 SOLD
Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 50mm f1.4 M42 (37902) - Very nice overall but has fungus - the fine spidery kind. Super lens if you have the time to clean it up. Useable as it is...

9. £30 Now £20... SOLD
Rollei Planar 50mm f1.8 - West German one - Aperture is not working. Interesting serial number!

PM if interested in any of the above or have any questions.

I have one other lens which someone can have for free, just the price of postage.
It's a Prinz Galaxy 200mm f4.5 pre-set. M42 T mount, with a case.
But, it has fungus. Not too hard to clean if you feel so inclined.
Edit: Gone to ebay

In the meantime I've cleaned the Takumar and I'm happy to say that the fungus did not damage anything; there's no traces left whatsoever. It goes to show that the SMC coating is VERY resistant.

By the way: I had to clean several surfaces, so optically it was almost completely disassembled. Only the center group stayed inside. I will post some samples tonight...

I'm very pleased you were able to clean it up - it should look pretty good now! I've also got an 85/1.8 in similar condition - I think I'm going to try and find the time to clean that myself.Smile

The remaining lenses above (bar the rollei) I offer free - just pay the postage. They'll slowly find their way to ebay for 99p starts.
The Oreston, however, also turns out to have some fungus and will need stripping down.

Have fun! And if you never seem to be able to find the time to do it -- please drop me a PM Wink

Great samples Peter.... you can send it back now! Mr. Green (just kidding!)

Almax - "Bar the Rollei" means it isn't free I'm afraid.

An update on the rollei...
A couple of pics. You can see that it's missing its aperture pin I'm afraid. The aperture does open and close although sticks when it's wide open. Slight force makes it work again, but it can be stiff and erratic. Seems to be something wrong with the control linkages - maybe to do with the missing pin?
