Our son just turned 4, so that means that yesterday he had to leave Kindergarten, and today was his first school day Smile

This series was made with the 5D + 28mm f/3.5 S-M-C Takumar.

Great family shots!

Having a daughter of approximately your son's age (she is 6 something) I can perfectly understand what pictures like these mean for you.

I too took the 5D I had at the time for her first day of school last year, with a Nikkor SC 50/1.4.

+1

At 4, Peter?

Here, our kids go to "Vorschule" at 5 and to "Grundschule" at 6.

Thanks for the nice comments! So far, it appears that our son likes his new school, he wants to go back immediately Smile

Yes Carsten, in The Netherlands our children usually go to elementary school when they are 4, however it's not mandatory (it's only mandatory from five years). However Kindergartens do not allow 4-year olds, and that's a problem when both parents work.

Fabulous "first day" photos Very Happy

I remember my first day like it was yesterday. I hated it Shocked My first happy memory of school was the day I left Embarassed

That said, I remember two very good years when I had teachers that made everything interesting. All the other teachers were just there for crowd control Laughing
