The lens seems to have a bit of flare, it may be good for portraits and flowers, in fact the last image is the nicest I think.

You got that nailed regarding the flare Orio. The pictures are posted for Jaza/s benefit and these are some of the less flary pics. The flare/hazing can work to reasonably good effect though.
