Hi all,

I'm looking for an Exakta-to-EOS adapter, but i don't know which one to buy.
I've found at least three different rings in eBay, but i dropped the first one since it is the same as the one discussed by std in this thread.
The other two i found are:

and

The one from Big_is seems to be of good quality, as it has a stop screw for the lens. Nevertheless, i have two questions:

1. How can i recognize an Exakta auto lens (unsupported by the first adapter) ?
2. What are Exakta lenses with extruding knobs (unsupported by the second adapter) ?

Thanks in advance for your replies ...

I think the first one should be better .. ( haven't tried it, just looks like a different design which may actually have the infinity correctly)

I don't know of what know they are mentioning. i guess that's the 'arm' of the auto lenses, so most probably both adapters will not work with 'auto' lenses
The preset manual ones do not have the arm and they can mount properly.

Here is the comparision:

the 4/135 Sonnar and 1.9/58 Primoplan ( in preset - no automatic)

2/50 Pancolar in automatic ( the arm with the button on the right side)

Same Automatic arm can be found in 20, 25, and 35mm flektogons - i guess that's the 'wide angle exakta lens which has an extruding knob' they describe in the second listing.
