Well, I got donated a very special Zinna, a hybride from Mexico which really astonished me.

So this is just about viewing pleasure and not about how to, so I won't bother with details.

Here she comes and I hope you like her too...

VIS:

UV broadband

UV 333nm narrowband:

UV induced visible fluorescence (I):

UV induced visible fluorescence (II):

UV-VIS simulated Bee Vision:

VIS-NIR red ege:

[sorry for that copyright stamp, but these are for a forthcoming book...]

Wow, what a great series and nice images Klaus.

Don´t know before that a flower looks so different at various light waves ( hopefully this is the right term ). Each image shows a beauty. I like them all.

Thanks for sharing.

Wink

Thanks Rolf, most welcome!

Only a few flowers have so prominent patterns, especially those UV patterns (called "nectar guides"). This flower was indeed special, also the blue fluorescent pollen and bright orange stamens. Very special indeed.

This is the outcome of a new system I have invested a few months development into and it really pays off now with surprisingly good results and reaching much deeper into UV as any other system before.

That was the most complicated one to make Wink Honestly, with that setup I mean, since it is optimized for UV and not VIS anymore...

Marvellous !!!

I'm wondering about equipment and would like to see your studio installation. Wink

That's a really good work which deserves a book.
Thank you very, very much, Klaus for sharing with us. Very Happy

First one is superb!
Although I'm for watermarking the photographs, and I do that for mines, I have to tell you that that type of yours is the most disturbing possible. I'm talking about the big, wide one in the middle.
Any reasons, because I didn't see that before coming from you?
