Excellent results, Gary, I'm adding that developer to my next order from
Freestyle.

Thanks guys, I use this developer for pretty much everything and I am happy with it.

This is from the same roll. Its really hard to get detail in these black cows.

Black angus, looks like. The guy I lease my place from runs the same
cattle in the pecan grove behind us (68 acres) and never can get a
decent shot of them. Here's one from a Canon point and shoot:

You captured a lot more detail than I ever have, tough subject.

Black cow in the shade, tough subject. I think WD2D will help, but its still tough.

I retired from the cattle business about four years ago. I had as many as 50 Angus brood cows. Now I lease my place to my friends son who is building an Angus herd. He is young, 35, with lots of energy, and most importantly, has a good job!

Here is another shot on Acros with WC2D, this time from Pentax 67.

Gary

I am often disappointed when I post my b/w photos. This one looks much more alive and vibrant on my screen at home, it has lost some of that here.

I'm liking the shadow detail you're getting with this film/dev. I can see
the forest behind the barn getting blocked out from a different combo.

(Like Fomapan 400 and HC-110)

When I view this photo in Bridge, or Photoshop there is much more detail in the shadows and the background trees are very visible. Posting seems to darken the dark values.

Might have to jack up the brightness to post.

Gary

PS- I just looked at this on a different machine and it looks totally different. Maybe my old monitor is getting bad.

Gary, dunno what kind of monitor you have, but on my Samsung LCD
monitor, looks good to me.

Wow, I commandeered a View Sonic LCD monitor. It's like night and day. I just didn't realize how bad my old CRT had gotten. Not sure I'm sold on the short/wide aspect ratio though.

I remember when I chucked my Dell CRT for the Samsung and you're right, was like night and day. Doing this kind of work, an LCD monitor
is a must.

Nice shots in a very difficult lighting, I would not mind a liiiittle bit more density in the shadows.

Great last shot, well done and nice shadows
