but the camera operator there uses a very interesting tool with his DSLR camera, he seems to focus with a wheel placed on a rail which stands on a camera grip placed on his shoulders.
That seems really useful for videos! And perhaps not only videos, for instance telephoto photography could benefit I think from the shoulder support and the focusing not done directly on the lens.
Can anybody identify the tool with anything in commerce?
