Sometimes, Ebay is really fun-tastic!
Bought this lens few days ago. Buy-it-now-auction, 95 Euro.
Feels like Christmas! Laughing Laughing Laughing

Never saw or even heard about a black 75mm Primoplan before.

Anyone?

Needs a service, but that is ok. Glass unscratched, focussing and diaphragm good.
Anyway, I will not use that lens, it is just a collectible.
So if I want to shoot a 75 primoplan, I have an "ordinary" silver one for that purpose.

Will send the lens to Mr. Olbrich. He will get it right again.

Wow, I really want one of these, especially as I collect Meyer lenses.

Pray tell, what does the red 'V' denote?

red V means red T on Zeiss, or Red P on Russians , coated.

Superb example! I'd be interested to know if it's original or painted black afterwards... Based on the photos I'd say that it's original... Especially with this low purchase price it's highly unlikely that it is a counterfeit item.

Congratulations!

Yes, I'm absolutly sure, it is original. Maybe made for special purposes, like the all black Domiron lenses.

Don't think so. The Biotar is not painted, like the Primoplan (or the frequently turning up rare Domiton, which was made for a police service), it is anodized. And I'm sure it is a fake. The lettering style of the engraving on the side of the base is made with modern letters, not used (or invented) at the time, that Biotar was made.
Anyway, my Primoplan is at the service right now and I guess, I will hear some news from the service after the servicing.

Waiting for a picture of a black Bonotar, I know about. A friend has one. When having it, I will show it here.
