I bought this nice lens today. For the money I paid (70 euros including two Tokina zooms) it's a very decent performer!

The lens has a Pentax K mount, but with the help of Alex' (HK300) PK to EF adapter I had no problems mounting it on my 5D. What's more: on my unshaved 5D there are no infinity problems with this lens. On top of that, and that's the icing on the cake: I could use the lens as-is. The Tokinas do not have a protective tab for the diaphragm lever, so the 5D's mirror won't run into it.

The lens also seems fairly flare resistant. It's also much sharper than I thought it would be.

Those roses in the first shot look like they are going to fall on my keyboard.

It must seem really wide on the 5D.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, it's really wide; this translates to approx. 11mm on an APS-C camera. In photo 4, If I had tilted the camera down just a little, I could have seen my feet Smile

Pictures looks great. I like the fift one.

Very interetsting to hear that this lens not hits the mirror on 5D in PK mount, as I'm interetsted in buying one. That might make it easier to find one.
Thanks for sharing.

Wow! Thanks for resurrecting this thread Agent Cooper. And great photos Peter. I'd love to have a lens that wide.
