i won a meyer Trioplan in the bay
red V, glass is good, 10 blades aperture, but for only using it open, that doesn´t matter at all, quite good shape and for a reasonable price because of Exakta mount
...my ledge was prepared to cut it down to Nikon register....
now i see it is a rare version with red and black aperture scale - depending if you shut down or use the automatic mechanism and equipped with ( i think ) a release for using it at bellows or reverse with the automatic mechanism

it was made only in 1959, acording to the specialistes on the net - so it would probably be a pity to butcher it and it has to go back in the bay - what do you think ?

Yes, you should probably re-sell it, because adapting to Nikon WILL require major surgery / butchery. I have posted a non-destructive modification of Exakta mount to Pentax PK that allows infinity focus. I modify the adapters, not the lens. But the Nikon register is just too long. Without cutting down the lens body, you will have Yet Another Closeup Lens (YACL).

thanks RioRico
i have seen your threat and like the way you did it, but for APS sensor use, i also could buy an adaptor to my NEX.
I want to use it on my Nikon and taking down the necessary 2 mm would still be in the black back part, so i could disassemble ( if i would know how Crying or Very sad ) copy this part a little bit thinner and do not destroy the main parts of the lens. This was my intention. But i am not shure. If one ot the MFl gurus says, no this version is absolutly to rare, i would probably not kill it. If i do not get reaction in here, it is not necessary to keep, and i can start to find out, how to get it opened.
Maybe someone can give me an idea about that Question

Why use it only wide open? You'll be missing a lot then. Stopped down it's terrificly sharp.

Keep it as this, and then sell it 500€ in one year or so Very Happy

Sell it try to find her a good home and butcher a common one if you really need. I doubt there is so many excellent Nikkor lenses.

And that is a VERY good suggestion!

Oh, I hope I wasn't TOO threatening. Wink

I tried disassembling one Exakta-mount lens with the stop-down button. Ugh, that did not work. My lens-work skills are not great, and I quickly realized that I was totally beyond my capabilities. If you have successfully rebuilt such a lens before, great! Otherwise, follow CarbonR's suggestion.

thanks for all your suggestions - i will follow either the proposal of CarbonR or sell it soon depends how i like it on my NEX.
@ Orio, i wrote only open, because i do not need another 100mm to be sharp beside my Nikkor 105...i only want to test if i am able to produce such interesting bokeh as a lot of people in here can do...and therefore i spend around 60 €, ... as a training fee for a training that now will not take place
Shocked
