As requested, a better scan and all around better image than
posted before. I took the liberty of cropping it as well, in order to
have the background stems add some balance and interest to the image.
Not for a "beauty shot", but I sure do love the way Provia renders the
very accurate colors of this leaf.

Thanks guys. There IS more detail...but now I don't really love the depth
of field. I guess I'm hard to please!
I'm going to find some more Kale, just because I DO like those colors,
and stop down some more, perhaps to f:11, as the medium format
lenses seem to have very limited DOF.
It SEEMS like a shot with the 120/4 Macro has less depth of field than
the Vivitar Series 1 90/2.5 macro at f:4. I dusted off the Vivitar
and took a similar shot of this same subject at f:4 and there is
evidently a deeper DOF. I can see the deeper DOF after a scan of the
35mm slide from the Vivitar; however, my scanner is total crap in
scanning 35mm and the image looks like a train wreck.
I guess that's really redundant to this topic anyway, since there are so
many variables between the two formats, let alone the variables from
different lenses. Sometimes I get WAY off track. I mean, what the
HELL am I talking about?
The next sentence is REALLY all I needed to say on this post.
I'll try a couple of different f:stops in the F:8 - f:22 range.
It's ALL fun! _________________
