I bought the SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4 M42 lens, which adapter on Ebay do you recommend that I get to attach this lens to my Lumix GH1? and is it a m42-m43 or a pentax screw mount to m4/3? |

The prices vary largely on eBay but I would buy this one if I was going to buy a third one.

There are two types of m42 adapter, one with "rim" inside and one without, the SMC Tak work with the one without.
Mine looks like this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/M42-lens-Micro4-3-M4-3-adapter-Olympus-EP-1-EP-2-/280662038829
On the other type of adapter with "rim" inside, the SMC Tak does not focus to infinity. |

Yep I learned this the hard way since I do not own any lenses with the iris control pin and I bought the flanged adapter which does not allow the Jupiter-37A to reach infinity.. _________________ Body: Fujifilm X-E1

You can shoot an email to rainbowimaging on the bay and ask them whether their adapter has the "rim" or "flange" inside, he is usually pretty quick to reply email last time I contacted him. |

SRB Griturn, a UK company that manufacture camera accessories, and make them to a high quality. Mine are identical to genuine Pentax adaptors in every respect. And I have experience as a quality control manager in a precision engineering manufacturers.
SRB are good to deal with as well.
I have no connection to them, I just use their adaptors because they work perfectly for a lot less cost that the genuine, and it avoids the risk of the horror stories you read about with stuck and poor quality from some others. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

I must confess I do not understand the problem with the adapters with the inside flange. I have a Super Takumar 55/1.8 & a Super-Multi-Coated 100/4 macro Takumar & they both focus a bit past infinity on a flanged adapter.
