Been using less MF lenses over the past.. half year? So also my visits to this forum got less regular. Only now I notice the Autofocus Corner!
This summer I picked up bird photography, after a long interest in our feathered friends, by buying a Canon 400/5.6L. So far I've built up a decent database of photographed birds and here are some to share.
1. Kestrel taking shelter during the rain
2. Reed Warbler
3. Kingfisher
4. Kingfisher
5. Blue Tit (chuckles, yes I know but I'm 22, I still laugh at that)
6. White Wagtail showing off it's latest catch, and licking it
7. Common Buzzard
8. Barn Swallow youngs about to be fed
9. Moorhen on ice
Hope you guys can appreciate the images.

Wow!
I wonder is it really so true that Canon ultra telephotos are far superior to other lenses in that focal range or it's the photographers that make this big difference. Fantastic shots! _________________ Toni,

Lovely! I don't like the bokeh on some of the pics at all, though. These pics make me question my MF skills in being super still. . That's where the newer AF lenses rock. |

Very nice images. No doubt partially it's because of the lens but most probably its because of the photographer. |
