Thanks guys! I've been getting some serious workouts, carrying my SL-66 all over the place!

Olivier, it was late afternoon, the grass itself was somewhat orange, I used and 81A filter and my film was out of date. So, in short, I dunno!

Nice work! I like minimal compositions. Expired film or not the colors do work great.

Cheers, M.

Rolf, thanks. You saying that they are "really SL66 feeling" makes me happy. I'll be doing a lot more.

Your ability to simplify is stunning! I looked at Series II first, since it
was farther up on the queue. Both of these series simply make me want
to see more from you. I LOVE this stuff! And, it doesn't hurt that it's
more than likely in the Pacific Northwest. Cool

Laurence, thanks very much. I am into very quiet, zen-like images these days.

You're right, everything was shot in Portland! Should have more in about a week.

Mark, you mention Provia III...is that Provia 400 RDPIII, or is it
Provia 100F RDPIII?

Do you possibly remember where you got the 220 rollfilm? I can't seem
to find any on B&H or Adorama.

Larry

Larry, fellow member Rawhead has some expired Provia 100 RDPII in 220. He quoted me $20 for 10 rolls, plus $5 shipping. I'm probably going to order some. I bought some Velvia 50 from him in 220. The first roll I shot came out very nice, with just the slightest hint of magenta cast to it. Rawhead suggests that the Provia may have more of a magenta cast, but that doesn't really bother me, since color correction is pretty much a 1-click operation with the image processing software I use.

I've never shot any Provia, so I don't know -- are there F and non-F flavors? Me, I just think back to all the regular old Fujichrome 100 I used to shoot back in the day, and how great it was, so I'm sure I'll be happy with this stuff. Just wish he had some in 35mm.

Wow, thank you for the suggestion Michael! I'll send Rawhead a msg and see if he has any around. I'm a fan of Provia, and you are right - it's an easy click to knock down the magenta.

I think there used to be a non-F Provia, but I'm thinking it's all called out with the F at the end now. No matter, all Provia seems to be very good, and has good tones.

Thanks again!

Larry

Here's a link to his thread. In the first post there's a link to a spreadsheet showing what he has left. He has several different emulsions available still, I believe.

Yeah, Laurence, I've got tons of Provia 100 (RDPII) left. I can let go of at least 60 more rolls. Just let me know. Catalogue here: http://goo.gl/QgUSI

Thanks rawhead, I will try a purchase of 10 rolls of the RDPII, just as soon
as I get a balance back into my Paypal account. I'll transfer money from
my bank account and then order from you. This is GREAT, and if the
Provia only has some slight magenta cast, that is fine, and I'll probably then
purchase all you have left.

THANKS AGAIN.

Larry
