Entirely shot with Super Takumar 1.9/85. Lighting was funky and there's evidence of noise reduction - but tell me what you guys think Smile

No, you really show that you have mastered the lens. I like your style and subjects. Well done!

nice shots & compositions, you got a nice place or did you crop
what speed, apperture and iso did you used ?
those parameters could help rate quality
look like flare reduced contrast and resolution

Very Happy Thanks! Very easy to shoot these poets - strong emotional expression.

#2 and #4 almost no cropping at all. #1 and #2 original horizontal, crop to vertical framing for more focus.

Shooting 1/125-1/200 for most of this, wide open aperture 1.9, and ISO 1600. Lighting condition is too harsh for me (but I guess it's normal for those who used to shooting concerts and bands).

I'm thinking that wide open aperture causes flare - shooting straight into lights was problem as well... Lens don't handle flare the best. I still like it Smile

I really like them, the lighting looks really hard to deal with.

What are you using for noise reduction? Any chance that you'd be willing to post an image before the process? I always like to see before/after noise reduction shots just to see what they're capable of...

Thanks dave Smile

Here are some without NR. They actually don't look bad. I just do NR because of habit...

I love that lens SO much. I missed one on the bay at £100. Maybe next month if one pops up!

GBP100.00 is great price for this lens - sad you miss it Sad

I get mine in equivalent GBP150.00 - but near to mint condition. Was good deal in my sight.
