I sell my Jupiter-8 2/50
50mm f/2 lens in Leica threadmount (L39)
This is a very sharp lens that is a Soviet copy of the famous Zeiss Sonnar 2/50 for Contax rangefinder.
This lens is compatible with all L39 rangefinder cameras, and, with adapters (not included), with M bayonet rangefinder cameras (Leica, Viogtlaender), with Micro4/3 cameras, and with Sony/Samsung mirrorless cameras.
Marketplace link: http://www.mflenses.com/mfl-ebay/Jupiter-8-50mm-f-2-L39-lens.html
Price is 25 Eur, with a 5 Eur discount if you pay with bank transfer. _________________ Orio, Administrator

Hi Orio,
The lens is quiet small right? What is it like compared to the Oly Pen 38mm f1.8 (or other standard lens) in terms of size and sharpness?
I will take it if it is still available. But I will come back to you tomorrow if that is ok with you.
Thanks,
Simon |

I don't know
But I can give you the sizes: it's two fingers tall and two fingers wide
(sorry, I have no meter here)

If this can help with understanding how the lens is... it is a Sonnar type, so imagine a 50mm lens with the sonnar type of bokeh (quieter than the typical double gauss 50mm)
Here is a series of full frame and crops with the J-8 used on the Leica M9
These were my first days with the M9 so I did not adjust the colours well in Lightroom yet, and they seem a bit strange... just ignore colours and look at the optical sharpness:

I don't know, Simon. For sure the distances are compatible. But you need to ask the G1 experts if a L39 to G1 adapter is produced. _________________ Orio, Administrator

I think safe and yes bank call it wire transfer, look it's cost first , international wire transfer either can be cheap and very expensive too, depend from banks. _________________ -------------------------------

Bank transfer / IBAN cost nothing from Ireland to anything within the EU. I have done this many times.
Looks like an L39 to M4/3 is available:
